Stretching across 2,000 acres of parkland, farmland and woodland, the beautiful Thornham Estate is located in the valley of the River Dove in rural north Suffolk. Thornham has a long and rich history and has belonged to the Henniker-Major family for over 200 years. The family continue to live at Thornham Hall and take a keen interest in the running of the Estate.
Today, in addition to the farm, a number of other enterprises operate on the Thornham Estate. These include over 12 miles of well-established and popular permissive walks, known as Thornham Walks, a cafe, a restaurant, a Walled Garden, some fishing lakes, a bed and breakfast, some holiday properties and a campsite. There are also several longer-term rental properties available at Thornham Hall and in the Red House Yard complex.
Thornham Walks will be closed on Tuesday 6th March. There will be no access to the permissive footpaths, car parks or other facilities. The Walks will be open as usual on Wednesday 7th March.
