.

Stretching across 2,000 acres of parkland, farmland and woodland, the beautiful Thornham Estate is located in the valley of the River Dove in rural north Suffolk. Thornham has a long and rich history and has belonged to the Henniker-Major family for over 250 years. The family continue to live at Thornham Hall and take a keen interest in the running of the Estate. Today, in addition to arable farming, environmental conservation schemes and woodland, a number of other enterprises operate on the Thornham Estate. These include over 12 miles of well-established and popular permissive walks, known as Thornham Walks, a popular cafe, thriving artisan businesses, a Walled Garden, fishing lakes, holiday accomodation and commercial and residential rental properties.

We appreciate the importance of Thornham Walks to our visitors, and most especially for the local community, and The Walks have remained open during the majority of the Covid 19 pandemic. However, the safety of our staff, local community and visitors is paramount and we will continue to  take measures to restrict the spread of coronavirus. Please see our latest statement on coronavirus for details.

Please keep an eye out for further updates on staying safe whilst enjoying Thornham Walks.
