At Thornham we want everybody to enjoy our beautiful estate so we maintain a surfaced path from the start of the Walks to the Walled Garden, allowing easy access for wheelchair users. The surfaced footpath is an approximately half-mile loop.
Disabled composting toilets are available at either end of the surfaced footpath.
Beyond the Wall
Beyond the Wall is a charitable project based at the Thornham Estate's Walled Garden. The charity works primarily with people between 16-60 with mixed disabilities. Our aim is to build upon confidence and well-being while teaching skills which will unlock future opportunities in mainstream education, sheltered volunteering or employment.
The Walled Garden opens for events such as our annual Open/Apple Day in October and Blossom Day in May.
